This post walks through how to take a tabbed Dataverse form and use it to generate a Power Pages multistep form
Walkthrough
Referring to Figure 1, the three tabs on the Dataverse form (based on the cpl_informationrequest table). (These tabs will end up being mapped to three steps in the Power pages multistep form.)

Referring to Figure 2, both an ‘Information Requests’ and a ‘Edit Information Requests’ webpage are created

Referring to Figures 3 & 4, a new multistep form is created on the ‘Edit Information Requests’ webpage

Figure 5 displays the resulting multistep form. (The Power Pages Management app will be used to make further changes to the form.)

Now, the three steps need to be manually created within the multistep form. Starting with the ‘Request’ step, figure 6 shows the reference to the Dataverse table

Figure 7 illustrates the Dataverse form and tab that has been selected

Figure 8 illustrates the resulting three defined steps

After ‘Syncing’, figure 9 illustrates the resulting multistep form within the ‘Edit Information Requests’ webpage in Power Pages

Figure 10 displays the ‘Information Request’ webpage. A list has been placed on the page. The ‘Edit Information Requests’ webpage will be linked to this list

Figure 11 shows the webpage ‘Edit Information Request’ being linked to the list

Figure 12 displays the list. Clicking on IR-00003 opens the multistep form (Figure 13)

Although not discussed in this post, table permissions may also need to be configured
